As 5pm draws close it seems like a good opportunity to pack up and send the Yorkshire Challenger another message, just some random stuff to help you pass the time.

Enjoyed reading the blog, sorry to hear that the sealife is diminishing as I know that was one of the key reasons for taking a bit of fibreglass into the middle of a lot of water.

I never told you as I didn't want to put too much pressure on you but I was inspired by your achievements of weight gain pre race and as a symbolic gesture to that feat, I too made a conserted effort over the festive period to pile on the pounds. OK, it was more of a Q4 effort. And sadly it is isn't bulk to help me power across the atlantic!

So having failed to make your 88kg, it is time to be inspired by your athletic efforts. Here are my stats from the week;
21k run
2.5k rowed (pretty good eh?)
14k cycled
9 bananas consumed

Other interesting stats from the week include;
37 units of alcohol consumed (rough guess based on how I felt this morning)
1 punch recieved to the face (unprovoked - LG, you are officially my heavy for next time I go to Abacus)

Keep powering through chaps, glad to hear Macca is getting back to full fitness and pleased to see the amazing progress you're making. With you every step of the way, GPG x

Jo and the others on Mission Atlantic: it's great watching your progress whilst at uni. This is the first time I've really tracked a team rowing the atlantic (I never did quite understand what was happening when Yorkie did it). It must be a good feeling to be away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life, finally doing what you set out to do. Under 2000nm to go-a definite hurdlestone. Keep up the good work in heading to that finish with a well deserved tan!

Sounds like you could do with a floating fridge/freezer to tow behind you. They have been washed up on some of our local beaches in past few days as a result of a container ship getting into difficulties off Flamborough. Might be a bit rusty however.
