Thought I would add our congratulations to the official ones! Hugh Congratulations! So good to see you and speak to you on skype. You both looked so well. Not at all haggard like the old sea dogs we expected!!! Your nutrition advisors and treat packers obviously did a great job!! Maybe it was grandma's christmas cake that kept on the pounds. Now that you are in the luxury of Antigua the epic journey must already seem quite a long way off. Hope you are not feeling too much of an anti-climax... Norman and James I hope you will have finished your epic journey by the time this reaches you. Congratulations, your dream has come true due to all your hard work.
You had all the workers at the 14 run on tender hooks as no one had time before the race to check your position. As soon as the runners had set off we dashed to the staff room computer for the 7am update of 25 miles. It was the same for the 1.30 pm update which did not come on line till 1. 45 to record you only had 13 miles to do. Geoff Cooper announced your position to present at the prize giving.
Enjoy the honour of what you have done and your pineapple, cheese burgers and chips, savour the texture and flavour after all your same textured food.
Well done
Love Kay Don, Baby Alex and Sarah and Family
