QBE Insurance Challenger Wins the Pairs Class of the Atlantic Rowing Race 2009/10!

Woodvale Challenge Ltd can confirm that QBE Insurance Challenger have won the Atlantic Rowing Race 2009/2010 Pairs Class event

Also achieving a second overall in the race, James Croome & Oliver Back are said to be delighted & relieved!

After a constant battle against the winds and desperate decisions to go back onto to their Para anchor they have made land at an impressive time of 59 Days 16 Hours and 17 Minutes, achieving the much wanted sub 60 day crossing.

James & Olli have both been very focused from the beginning of their campaign with the main goal and focus to win the race and what a fine job they have done of the pair's class.

Olli & James have certainly had their fair share of ups and downs, 100+ hours on Para anchor, then meeting with a pod of wild dolphins 500 miles away from land, deciding to down oar, mask & snorkel up and jump in - there isn't much that can beat that!

Well done James & Olli!!!
